A constant inspiration to me is The Mersey Sound by the Liverpool poets. They write about small moments in a manner that bestows upon them beauty and weight. This visual homage manifests itself as a series of five handmade books, singularly focussing on a main theme in the poets' work. Each contains space for ten entries, comprising of a page to record a significant moment, and an envelope within which to submit a relevant memento. The second stage of this project saw commemorative plaques emerging around town in places where these moments had taken place.
