Presentation Formal (2008)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Presentation Formal is a series of talks curated by Kajsa Ståhl and Maki Suzuki. For James Goggin's talk he proposed to discuss his work without actually showing any of it. Realising we had to design the idea of, essentially, a void, we graphically displayed this in a variety of ways. The posters were screenprinted in two shades of the same colour so that the information was only visible from certain angles. They were printed in four colourways and always positioned on
the wall in a way that referenced an ongoing project of James'. The solid colours were a nod to Yves Klein, who James not only references in his own work, but
who famously had a relationship with the notion of nothingness.
